Table Top Photography 
Table top photography is challenging and fun. This scene is from an intro to
the Julia Child cooking show on PBS. Notice how the butter box is made the center
of attention in a variety of ways. First, and most obvious, is that the box
is in the middle of the frame. On a more subtler note notice the monochromatic
surroundings allowing the box be the most colorful. In addition, the focus drops
off allowing the box in the foreground to stand out. A light was focused on
the side of the butter box to accentuate the yellow glow.

The movement of light can be dramatic. This simple technique employed a grip (a person who moves set pieces or dollies) moving a light on a rolling stand as the camera dollies by.
